Pleasant

I left my mobile device at the room when I checked out, I called them to claim it, they were good in handling the claim. Location is awesome. Staff were good

1. Only one elevator and very slow 2. Breakfast is limited and no variety 3. Receptionists were calling me twice after 12pm for checkout , they have to be a little bit more flexible 4. No exit direction in floors , every time I got lost and don’t know how to get out

Overall, very nice stay.

The building, the stairs, the elevator, the wooden doors… What a style! The staff was really nice.

The breakfast was quite disappointing. For 30€/pers, you expect a bit more.

Absolutely delighted with my stay....wonderful location, great facilities and exceptional staff.

Staff were extremely diligent, friendly and helpful. Location was superb. Wellness area was well maintained with the facilities kept at a high standard. Room was comfortable, especially the bed. Rooms were maintained to a high standard.

There's not much I could complain about but, if I had to........ the room I was in was a very long walk from the hotel entrance and wellness area. The signage around the hotel (showing where rooms/wellness area were situated) could have been better (I found myself lost on a couple of occasions).

Wonderful

Hotel is very easy to locate, as so prominent on the canal, near to the Central Station, 5 mins walk. Very friendly staff in all areas with great knowledge of the buildings history as a major shipping office. Super spa to relax in after a day of walking. Would happily return one day.

Great building.

Pool and sauna facilities were nice and open until late which was great. The decor was really nice and unique. Room was spacious and clean.

Front desk tried to get me to upgrade upon arrival to a suite as they were the only rooms available with twin room setups. As I had booked a twin room I didnt accept this and as two adults we were given a deluxe room with a roll away single bed. It would have cost me an extra 140 euros on top of a booking of nearly 350 for two nights just to get the room I booked. This wasnt a good first impression. I was also locked out of my room on the first day which meant having to be issued new access cards.

The rooms were amazing and the free mini bar was a really nice bonus. Lovely friendly staff. Would 100% come back

The view and the decor. Pleasant bar lounge staff.

Lack of care in the spa area. Towels and used watee cups not removed. Staff sparse. Unsure which beds were free. Only 4 of us in spa so most beds blocked by used towels etc.

Amazing Art Deco building in central Amsterdam, friendly staff throughout and nice bar/restaurant (high tea was fantastic!). Had a great massage in the spa, great saunas and steam room too. Hotel helped make our birthday trip even more special and memorable, many thanks!

The hotel itself is a nice and interesting building. The location is very good (close to the station and to The city centre).

I got the impression that swimwear was mandatory in the sauna, which I find very strange.

Central spot, nice hotel

The staff were helpful with our key issue. The bed in the room was extremely comfortable and the automatic curtains were a luxurious touch. The ceiling is near 20ft tall and the room was vintage and elegant. The wellness center is wonderful, the heated pool and whirlpool where lovely, the atmosphere was relaxing and it really helped us both wind down after a long day of walking and sightseeing. The mini bar is complimentary and a nice touch and restocked daily. The location is very central and close to the train station, which was helpful as it rained quite a bit on our trip. The building itself is beautiful, the interior is lovely to walk around and it has a very luxe feel to it. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

Our cards did not work for the room on a number of occasions. After trip 3 to the front desk, We were given an actual key on day 2 which was difficult to use. You had to pull the door towards you and turn the key at a certain angle to unlock the door, a bit of an inconvenience. The room was quite dusty, the side tables and the shelf where the coffee machine was very dusty. The bed was made daily, the towels replaced but the room remained dusty, I am not sure if it was due to the carpets and fabrics in the room. We had to ask for hand soap on day one as there was none in the bathroom. Although the window had a small sticker stating the window can open, we could not open the windows as the room was quite warm. We did try change the temperature through the thermostat but it didn't really work.
