great location and great facilities!.
Old school charm. This hotel was really nice and cool. Staff were great and answered every question I had. We only stayed one night but would have liked to stay another night or two to explore more, but we had places to be. Thanks for a lovely short stay.

Would absolutely go again, but for a shorter stay.
Room was extremely clean, some reviews suggested that the appearance is dated but I think that's the charm with history involved with the property/building itself. The services such as the SPA, Sauna, Swimming Pool and Gym was incredibly nice. They offer a mini-fridge inside of the room which is complementary and it's always topped up which again is a huge plus The staff - Daria (Bar Tender) was the one person I think we'll always remember for ALWAYS having a smile and being incredibly positive alongside some of the other few staff that worked in the restaurant. Even when extremely busy they will do everything they can to keep you enjoying your stay. Top marks on that front.
The Television inside of the room wasn't exactly tourist friendly, almost every channel didn't work outside of two we found. Even then it was clouded by the sheer static on the connection which made it absolutely infuriating. The drinks/food were quite expensive for what they were, such as the steak - for such 2 small portions vs other traditional restaurants. The staff collectively were lovely but it was odd on occasion when you caught the odd weird glance from varying hotel staff which just made you uncomfortable interacting. Finally, the bed. Although some may love this - I wasn't a fan. The bed was too soft, it was quite rare I'd wake up without backpain because I traditionally sleep on a harder bed.

What was the highlight of Grand Hotel Amrâth Amsterdam
Wonderful
Good and spacious room! Modern bathroom, large and equipped with plenty of amenities. Also good supply of coffee and tea in the room. Staff was very efficient. The bar was charming and some good food and drinks for dinnertime. The wellness area was also very well built, plenty os space for saunas, steam room and infra-rouge and a good swimming pool. Last, the hotel is only few min walk away from the central station! All in all, a very good stay!
